Wedding souvenirs… ehh

Wedding souvenirs, let’s talk about it…

Party favors are a thing of the past if you ask this wedding coordinator. Gone are the days that folks expect to walk away from your party with another bottle opener or koozie. Chances are, they picked one up before the reception started and by the time they left, the favor was also left- on the table. Sure, sweet Aunt Mary will keep that tin of mints with your new name on it in her purse for the next decade, but most everyone else never remembers what you chose as their takeaway. My advice: save your dollars. Sink them into an extra passable hors d’oeuvres at cocktail hour or an extra hour with your photographer for those priceless ‘getting ready’ moments. You won’t regret either of those; I promise. And what happens to all of those leftovers? That’s right- they come home with you. No one will want the custom luggage tag with the new Mr. and Mrs.’s names on them after the wedding is over, and because you spent hard-earned money on them, you won’t want to part with them. Then they’re left in your attic for the next 20+ years collecting dust. Trust me (from one bride that knows first-hand), no one will know you didn’t have them and if they do, let me know; I’ll personally box them a piece of cake for the road. That’s a takeaway that’ll get some use! Happy planning, brides!

Signed,

a girl that has never said ‘no’ to any koozie ever… but should’ve.

xo,

Andrea
